The start of the Navigational Rally.
As usual Sputnik as Team 01 started it off, with the other cars all
leaving behind him at 30 second intervals.
The first stage took us through some lovely country
roads, up hills and round hairpin bends. The first checkpoint was at
San Leo, a beautiful village at the top of a hill. This was followed
immediately by a special stage where we had to go round in a circle in
exactly 11 seconds. We were doing fine until we were cut up by Team
03 in a B*W half way round the circle!

After San Leo we headed for
Rimini where we had lunch.
After lunch we had a look at the beach. Rich had a
paddle and Max found some shells for her cat! We all had a dolphin
ride before heading back to the Minis.
The afternoon was free so we took a trip to San Marino,
where we had coffee. We got slightly lost on the way back, so
detoured via Rimini as Sput was getting low on fuel.
After that a high speed motorway dash back to
Imola got us there just in time for dinner. Binky took a trip down
to the Doctors in the garage who greased his nuckle joint - he'd had a new
one two days before leaving home and had developed a loud squeek.
