First Mini Unfortunately it wasn't mine exactly, it
belonged to my boyfriend's Mum and I partly learnt to drive in it.
This picture was taken in June 1970 with mother-in-law at the wheel.
Broke my heart when she sold it as I wanted it but couldn't afford
to buy it! I didn't think there were any pics of it, but we were
looking at some old photos over Christmas last year and father-in-law came out with
this! |

Karen bought Blue Meanie when whe was learning to drive.
Named after the Beatles' Yellow Submarines characters, she was with us for
three and a half happy years |

| Not to be left out, Paul decided he wanted a Mini and bought
Topples (so called as she was topless) a month or so before his
seventeenth birthday. |
|
Unfortunately she only lived with us for just over a year
before she got crushed between a Fiesta and a Bentley (not Paul's
fault). Unfortunately the repairs would have been too expensive for
us to pay for. |

Luckily we were paid out by the insurance company and were
able to sell her to someone who was able to repair her. She has
since been seen on the roads looking beautiful and is now purple! |
