We have had |
Bandit River Run - 24th August 2003 In effect a glorified pub crawl along the Thames, We met up just off of J6 of the M40, then went to Benson for a McDonalds breakfast. Then off to Clifton Hampden where we waited for Tim on the bridge. A walk along the river found some crazy horses who took a liking to Max. A quick drink in the Barley Mow, after which Rich had to leave us. Next stop was the Maybush/Rose Revived pubs at Newbridge. We parked in the Maybush car park and chose to eat at the Rose Revived. Another walk along the river, and Sal found a friend for life. Then back to the car park for some Mini maintenance, and Sal tried Binky for size! Next stop was the Trout Inn at Tadpole Bridge. We found some wicked single track roads with loads of bumps to amuse the Minis on the way. On arrival we were met by a mini mad kid who decided he liked Mostyn. The last pub was intended to be the Trout at Godstowe, but it seems that not only was it Inspector Morse's favourite pub, the rest of the world seem to have found it since I was last there. No pics here unfortunately. After looking at the queue at the bar and the full tables outside, we headed back to a pub we'd passed in the nearest village for our last drink of the day.
