We have had |
The model started off as a Schuco model of a silver Cooper with a sunroof.
It had black wheel arches and seats, so I painted the arches and side strip
silver with Baby's touch up paint, and got some red paint for the seats from a
model shop. Unfortuntely I couldn't manage to take the model apart so I had to
paint the seats and door cards through the roof, which was extremely difficult.
The model had no spotlights so I made four out of milk bottle tops and stuck
them on. I made the bonnet stripes and number plates using a PC graphics
package - it took about four attempts before I got them small enough. I
printed them out on sticky labels, cut them out and stuck them on. It's
not perfect as the arches aren't sportspack ones, but it's the nearest I'll ever
get! I didn't attempt to replicate the headlight peaks or the 'S' badges,
maybe I will one day. |
